PROJECTS
At Peace House Foundation we are working on different projects.
Each project is to support the people of the community.
The projects blend together but have a seperate and own side to support different sides of the community.

DAYCARE
At the daycare we provide a safe and nurturing place for children from the age of 6 months till 5 years old. At this time we have five orphans who live with us, and 40 children who still live at home but stay with us during the day. The help of the staff, volunteers and the community members makes it possible to provide direct care, different learning experiences and joy to the children in need.
We are dedicated to care for vulnerable children, especially those with disability's, orphans and children form underpriviledged families within the community.

Each day we provide different activities like:
- Health support: Taking children to clinics for medical check ups or treatment.
- Learning sessions: Teaching the basic knowledge, life skills, and inclusion awareness.
- Nutrition and meals: Sharing healthy meals and providing food packages.
- Recreational activities: Playing, singing, and storytelling to encourage confidence and happiness.
- Parental and community engagement: Inform and educate families and local leaders on the rights and needs of children with disability’s.

SCHOOL
We believe that every child should deserve a good chance at education. When the children attend the daycare, we start to teach them the basics they need for further education. This is called nursery school.
After completing nursery school, each child transition to primary education. For those who come from difficult backgrounds, we help to find them a suitable primary school and cover their school fees ourselves. However, children whose parents or guardians are financially able to, can enroll their children in the primary school or their own choice.

We have a teacher who will teach different things everyday, think of writing lesson, english lesson, counting numbers, learning to recognise different subjects.

PHYSIOTHERAPY
At the peace house foundation we provide physiotherapy at different locations. Around the daycare we will help and support the children with disability’s who can really improve by getting the right care and movements exercises.
We experienced that there was help needed for children who couldt reach the daycare themselves. Thats why the foundation searched for a way to make physiotherapy available for everyone in need.
This was a difficult way and is still very challenging to this day.

How did we make it available and reachable for everyone?
With the foundation and the needed volunteers we have through our partners, such as Meditrip, Siret and Somewhere in Africa. We were able to make a project to visit the children at home. Some live close to the daycare, but others live far away from the city life.
We made it possible to visit local tribes who don’t have direct access to healthcare. We did not only explain the exercises to the parents, we did the exercises together and gace them tips on how to handle the disability’s of their child.
At the end of every trip we try to teach the parents about taking good care of the children, the healthcare they need.
Another big problem in the local tribes are child pregnancies and taboo on contraception. We try to inform the tribes of the risks and the possibilities that are available.

WOMEN EMPOWERMENT
In this project we support women who have faces carious life challenges, including survivors of abuse, widows, women living in poverty and single women with low income.
We provide them with training and knowledge to help rebuild their lives and achieve independence.
Our services include:
- Cultural art and craft making
- Computer and english language courses
- Entrepreneurship and business skills training

Through this project, we aim to help women gain confidence, create sustainable in come and become empowered members of their communities.
